How do I apply for an apartment?

Applying is easy and can be completed online. You can start your application here, or if you already have a floor plan in mind, simply select it, click “Check Availability,” and then choose “Lease Now.” From there, you'll be directed to our secure Application Portal to complete the process.

What documents do I need to provide for the application process?

To get started, you’ll need a few essentials:

  • Proof of income showing at least 2x the monthly rent (this can be pay stubs, last year’s tax return, an offer letter, etc.)
  • A valid photo ID.

What are the income requirements to qualify for an apartment?

Applicants must show a combined gross monthly income of at least two times the rent amount. We accept pay stubs, offer letters, or tax returns as verification.

Do you allow pets?

We love our furry residents! Brickhouse is a pet-friendly community, and we welcome up to two pets per apartment home*.

 Here’s what we need:

  • Vet records
  • A cute pet photo
  • DNA swab

*Breed restrictions apply — unfortunately, the following breeds are not permitted:Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, Dobermans, Chows, Rottweilers, Akitas, Presa Canarios, Alaskan Malamutes, and Wolf Hybrids.

Is there a pet deposit or a monthly pet fee?

Yes. To help keep everything clean and comfortable, we’ll require:

  • Monthly Pet Rent: $35 per pet
  • Refundable Pet Deposit: $300 per pet

How much is the security deposit, and when is it due?

To reserve your new apartment, a $22.08 application fee per person and a $500 deposit are due at the time of application.

Are utilities included in the rent?

Utilities are not included in your rent. Each resident is responsible for their own bills.

How can I pay my rent?

Rent is paid through our secure online Resident Portal. It’s clear, simple, and accessible 24/7.

What lease terms do you offer?

We offer flexible lease terms ranging from 6 to 19 months, depending on availability and your preference.

Can I sublease my apartment?

No, subleasing is not allowed at Brickhouse. All residents must be officially on the lease.

Is renter's insurance required?

Yes, we do require renter’s insurance with:

  • $100,000 general liability
  • $20,000 personal property coverage

 You can use any provider you like, or ask us about our partner plan options.

Are there laundry facilities in the complex?

Even better… Every apartment includes a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience.

Is parking available? Is there an additional parking fee?

Yes! Choose what suits you best:

  • Covered Parking: $100/month
  • Uncovered Parking: $50/month
  • Or opt for free street parking nearby

Are guests allowed?

Of course! Guests are welcome, however we do ask that they’re always accompanied by a resident in any common areas and that they respect our policies and community rules.

How can I submit a maintenance request?

Maintenance requests can be submitted through the online Resident Portal. It’s quick and hassle-free.

Can I decorate my apartment?

Absolutely. We want you to make your space feel like home! Just remember to return it to its original condition when you move out.

We offer resident package receiving. All your deliveries are held for you until you’re ready to grab them.

You’ll be notified when it’s time to renew. When you’re ready, the entire process can be completed through the online Resident Portal.

What happens if I need to break my lease?

Life happens! To break your lease, we require:

  • A 30-day written notice
  • A lease break fee equal to one month’s rent

How do I request a transfer to a different apartment within the complex?

Contact our leasing office to inquire about available options and start the transfer process. A small transfer fee may apply.

What is the process for moving out?

When you're ready to go, simply provide a 30-day written notice. We’ll walk you through the rest to ensure a smooth transition.

How long does it typically take to receive the security deposit refund?

Your refund (if applicable) will be processed within 2–3 weeks after you move out.

Is renter's insurance included in the lease?

It’s not included. You’re welcome to use your own provider, or we can help connect you to a partner option.

What is your smoking policy?

Brickhouse at Lamar Station is a 100% non-smoking community. This is so that all our residents can enjoy cleaner air and healthier living.
